Five Secrets About Me... Family Members Keep Out!

1. My real name is Allyson Jane. Only my high school BFF, Scott is allowed to call me that. Nobody else!

2. In fifth grade I partook in a game of "You show me yours, I'll show you mine" ... This occurred in the back of the school bus with Alfred. I had a crush on him for five years.
Bonus secret: He showed me his, I didn't show him mine.

3. A kid in sixth grade told me I was the best Spin-The-Bottle kisser. I was the Catholic school bad girl when it came to boys. In 7th grade, my friend Serena's mom actually called me a tart. I later discovered this was an old-school term for ho or prostitute. Why was I a tart? I suggested we meet up with two boys from school one Saturday for an innocent slice of pizza. That's all it was. I think those two guys may not even be straight today. Honestly! I never smoked, drank or even knew what drugs were, I just liked boys. Yes, my passion was a crime.

4. I am addicted to my BlackBerry. I could be on a stretcher hanging on to my last breath, yet I'll be sure to text you back as the ambulance pulls up.

5. I obsess. I obsess over everything and everyone. It's a painful addiction. It's not OCD really, it's just like one-track-mind syndrome.

P.S. Note the image above, the women are wearing wedding rings.  Weird!

Hee! Great secrets. And number 2 certifies that you totally rock. :)

I love #4!

#3. I loathe judgmental people. My college room mate and her mother were that way. They assumed that i was sleeping around because they saw I had birth-control pills. What they didn't know was that the pills helped to control the size of my ovarian cysts!!!

Ian and Jesse, you both suck. Then again I'm flattered that you know me so well :)

Thanks Robyn!

Jane - "Jane" is my God Mother's name (aunt) and that's why it's my middle name :)

Rebekah - wow, how rude :( I'm sorry.

I'm Lisa Jane. How abosolutely unoriginal.

A tart! That's pretty funny now :/

Jane is my favorite name. Maxine Jane is my youngest girls name. I wanted to name her Sara Jane Apple, but it was nixed by the ex. I love apples.

Don't you just wish you could smack Serena's mom for labeling you a tart?

Funny that the women spinning the bottle are wearing wedding rings. Maybe they're swingers. Maybe you should introduce them to Serena's mom. :)

Just kidding.

How many family members do you think will really keep out? Isn't that kind of like inviting them over? :)

This was a cute idea, I might steal it. I posted some childhood pictures of me on my blog. I was inspired by you. LOL

I also tend to obsess. 13 years of Catholic school for me but I didn't go through a boy crazy phase back then - that wasn't until my mid 30s. Loved this post.

I've played around with my brother's blackberry. I'm almost convinced of it's awesomeness. But it's still a phone, and I hate phones.

LOL! Love #5...I think I have that too!

You tart!!! I love it :-)

I loved boys too. Always writing my name + their name in a heart!

Hey here is something from way back when... do you remember when a boy would say "Will you go with me?" as in go steady? My parents would die laughing when I would say I am going with a boy. They would ask where I was going and laugh and laugh.

I think it is kinda funny that she called you a tart but I guess when you obsess about everything it probably wasn’t' the best choice for a "grown-up" to call a child. Hehehehehehe Now I would love for someone to call me a tart!! {Not that I am a prostitute it would just make me giggle! But then again I would probably just sit around obsessing and wondering exactly what they meant by it!}

I could really go for a sweet tasting tart right now. LOL! This diet is killin' me.

I LOVE the term "tart" - it means pie, which is my favorite baked good ever, and it also means slut, and I just found a recipe for tequila-lime tart that I am dying to bake and figure out how to make body-shots out of, which pretty much incorporates the best of both meanings.

I LOVE your real name. Very pretty. I'm a nurse in the emergency room and people actually do make phone calls from their death bed. We've had to post signs every where so people won't text while the dr. is examining them.

Lol.... Your passion was a crime....

My wife is super obsessive about stuff.... Like car seats.... She love car seats.... Don't get me wrong, I love her obsessiveness.... But she sure does love her some car seats. And I'm pretty sure the car seats my kids have will protect them from a nuclear blast....

As a Catholic high school survivor I can truly appreciate #3....I mean really who else uses the word "tart"?

Powdered Toast Man said...

That was cruel not to show him yours. You track that kid down and give him what you owe him..lol

loved it and i am COMPLETELY obsessed with my blackberry. it's my connection to the world.... EVERYWHERE I GO!!!! it's a horrible addiction. red lights.... waiting rooms.... i am certain that if i were dying, i'd likely jump on the blackberry to update my blog (or FB) to "dying".... it's rather sickening and i'm certain everyone in my family would agree.... argh!!!!

i'm obsessive with lots of people and things.... but i think mine is like a codependency thing.... i think i want to save the world, and i'm pretty sure i'll die trying.... =)
