Caboodles '80s Plastic Makeup Case Kit

The Caboodle was essential to holding all of  your makeup and beauty accessories in the '80s.

Caboodles took the idea of a tackle box and made it awesome back in 1987.  Sadly, I can honestly say I may be the only 1980s girl that did not own one of these plastic Caboodles makeup and beauty cases. Caboodles were super cool and came in pretty colors like pink, baby blue and turquoise, but for whatever reason I just never got around to getting one.

Caboodles were all the rage at sleepovers, camp and college. Girls would tote their treasure chest-like Caboodle packed with makeup and Scrunchies. I believe I was the only freshman in my college dorm who did not arrive armed with my overstuffed Caboodle

Moms and '80s fanatics may be surprised to know that Caboodles are still alive and well today. Sadly like everything else, the Caboodles are modernized to fit today's styles. Check out their website at Caboodles.com

Did you rock the Caboodle (not Kaboodle) back in the day?

I have at least 4 make-up cases even to this day. My boyfriend can't understand why I have this habit because it's bulky and I honestly don't have THAT much make-up. But when he asks why, I answer, In the 80's it was too cool! I'm not sure if I had a Caboodle one but I know I had a knock off!! =)

I always wanted a Caboodle, I remember the commercials brain washing me! I did finally get one, but not until I was a too-cool for school misfit teenager. I still have it though, now it is my sewing box! It works just great. :-)

I am so jealous of bloggers saying they had one or still have one. I've received a slew of tweets from you guys saying you still have your Caboodles. I want an old school one! Too cool!

I had a Caboodle! I think the top half was was dark pink and the bottom deep purple or vice versa. I had a lot of nail polishes back when I was 12 (1993) and remember toting my Caboodle full of 'em to every one of my friend Louisa's sleepover birthday parties! :)

First Baby Soft and now this! I'm loving these flashbacks to my childhood. :) I still have my Caboodle and it still stores my makeup! They really are handy. They would be useful to hold jewelry making or scrapbooking supplies too. I took a peek at the new caboodles and there were a few cute styles. I think they should still offer the old design for nostalgia purposes, though!

Totally had mine with my name on it! Dancers use them ALL the time. They just hold so much stuff!

So crazy you wrote about this. I was just telling my husband I wanted to get some for the girls. Thanks for the link! Going to buy some now.

I had a purple one and loved it! I recently saw someone's picture on facebook and a real, '90s Caboodle was in the background. Hilarious! Who knew they still made them though?

I not only rocked it. I still have the exact same one you pictured. (hangs head in shame) I don't actively use it, but often took it on vacation with me until a few years ago when I was gifted with "adult luggage."

I had that very one! Except...I wasn't cool. I just bought a new one, in black because I'm a grownup now. It does have pink on the inside, because Caboodles need pink. It's their superpower.
