|Skidz were popular baggy pants back in the '80s.|
Skidz (pronounced Skids) were baggy, pajama like comfy cotton pants that were almost like the pants version of Jams (shorts). Often cuffed or folded at the bottom, Skidz were extremely popular with white Keds or slip-on style sneakers. They came in a variety of prints and pasterns and featured a yellow and black logo showing a vehicle skidding. These soft, baggy pants were available at most malls all over America.
Skidz pants were loved by most high school kids throughout the late 1980s and faded out by about 1990.

Now I don't remember these at all!
Maybe they weren't big in the UK! They were popular in New York - Long Island and Queens.
Only remember seeing a few people wearing these in my area, mostly dorks who tried to skateboard but were terrible at it and wanted pretend to be surfers; they usually also wore OP and anything else the kids wore in movies that took place on the California coast.
Whoa! Some things are better left in the past!
Yep. I had a cram colored plaid pair. They were hot for a minute in Nashville when I was in school. I wore them with a peach IOU shirt. Bought both at Merry Go Round.
Vision Streetwear made "cooler" versions of these and were worn quite frequently by skaters and surfers here on L.A.'s Westside.
Pretty interesting that b-chica mentioned Op (Ocean Pacific), which was indeed a huge fashion must-have here in '79–'81, paired of course with the requisite Vans Slip-Ons. That's Cali for ya! =)
I remember body builders at the gym used to wear these a lot. They looked stupid, but no one dared tell them.
Where can I buy these
