Unlike The Ace of Cakes, I Don't Like Clutch

My husband likes this band, CLUTCH. Although he doesn't listen to them too much these days.

The Ace of Cakes crew at Charm City Cakes in Baltimore are all about Clutch, and yes, Mary Alice is lead singer Neil Fallon's sister. Whatever.

Years ago, I put their CD on my Christmas list only to pass it along to my little bro after a single listen. I liked their logo and band name and assumed I'd dig their music. Bad call. I loathe them.

Tale Behind The CLUTCH Concert / Band T-shirt Photo

One day I threw on my husband's CLUTCH t-shirt and snapped this pic of me looking miserable. This way every time he looked at this photo he would know just how I felt each time I heard their harsh sound. Don't get me wrong. I love it hard. I like bands like Helmet, Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Quicksand, a little Suicidal Tendencies and a bunch of others I can't think of right now. I just don't like CLUTCH.

I dedicate this picture post to my husband.  The poor guy gets to wake up to my pouting "wah wah" face (as we call it) everyday for the rest of his life.

  1. I think you are being a bit hard on your hubbie. You should give 'em another shot. Maybe they'll grow on you.

  10. I don't know this music either. But I also didn't know what OPP meant. I'm old and out-of-touch. Oh well.
You look cute. New haircut? I like it, whether it's new or not.
PS Hope you're slathering on the Aloe Vera for that burn.
    Cheers,
    Robyn

  11. I dislike Clutch very much as well. I love Duff and Ace of Cakes, but his love for the band Clutch brings his cool factor down a few notches.

  12. Bwahahahaha Pretty sure my hubby gets a pretty similar Wah-Wah face to deal with every day as well! I actually just threw it at him this morning as he was walking out the door on his way to work. ;-)

  13. Don't worry about never hearing of any of these bands. They are all 1990s and kinda obscure. What I'm more concerned with are all of you folks commenting over at NotWorthMenioning.com saying you've never heard of Justin Bieber! He's HUGE right now!

PS Robyn this pic is a few years old though my hair style never changes much ha ha! I had yet to shower the morning I snapped this. It was actually bed head!

  15. OMG! I should send you a picture of my mom when she was younger. She had darker hair, but the eyes and expression are the same!

You are my long lost sister perhaps?

  16. Hmmmm.... Haven't heard too many 'Clutch' songs, and for some reason I'm not a huge fan of 'Ace Of Cakes'....

Oh wait, I know why I'm not a fan of 'Ace Of Cakes'! It's the five o'clock shadow that swallows Duff's face! Seriously, the guy is a wolfman.... His beard comes right up under his eyes!
