I still wear Stans, even though they call them something else now. Last time anyone saw Stan was in the early 1970s. He was a famous tennis player in the 1960's. Green/white is the go-to color although they have a variety now.
Back in the 70's I would wear Zips (the Big-Z) high-tops. During the dawn of Nike and track shoes, I wore Jox by Thom McAn (what were we thinking?)
Zips were a low-maintenance Converse Chuck Taylor look-alike. In the words of the Fresh Prince (whatever happened to that guy?), "I asked my Mom for Adidas and she bought me Zips..."

Grease was my gateway ONJ. I loved it and I still do, however my obsession with Xanadu was legendary. It sparked my love of Greek Mythology and handkerchief hemmed skirts.

One good thing about the whole digital music thing is fewer cassettes tossed on the side of the road trailing out tape from somebody tossing them out the car window after the car stereo "ate" it.

I still have my cassette collection and my first mono cassette player, first boombox, and a stereo system that plays cassettes and records. I even use my cassette walkman at the gym.

I do not own any kind of digital music player because they are expensive and I am way too lazy to digitize my huge CD collection.

I still have some cassettes left, both albums and mix tapes/blanks. Luckily I also still have a boom box with a working cassette deck, although I rarely listen to the tapes. I also still have my childhood record player (that still works thank God) and most of my kiddie records, plus I have a bunch of LPs I began collecting several years ago. I can't say I'm still fond of tapes, but records I love to this day. :)

I always liked the individual pieces but never bought the standard "set" of the top, skirt, and contrasting cowl worn as a belt. I actually wore the white "petal" skirt to my high school graduation in '91 with a vintage top.
